Vatton. They are power tools that have the same battery in common for all.
The advantages of a cordless tool
The following are some of the benefits of working with cordless tools:
The comfort offered by the absence of cable, something very evident.
You can use them in places without access to electricity (in the field, a car, reforms, etc.)
Most cordless drills include a mechanical ball clutch
The same tool is used to mount and hang said furniture to the wall (anchor shelves, mount hardware for shelves ...)
Some cordless combination screwdrivers feature dual heads, allowing you to screw and drill simultaneously.
The brushless motor models are shorter, lighter and more compact: you can use them in places that a universal motor drill cannot access.
About the autonomy of the batteries
The autonomy of the batteries is indicated by the unit Ah (amp hours). The more amp hours, the greater the autonomy of the battery. The most basic drill models usually have 1.5 or 2.0 Ah batteries while the professionals have about 5 Ah batteries.
The voltage of the drill is also related. An 18V drill with a 2Ah battery will have a greater autonomy than a 12V drill with a battery of the same capacity. The voltage of the drill does not necessarily imply more power. To compare the force of a drill, the tightening torque is used, expressed in Nm (Newton meter).
What is the tightening torque?
The tightening torque indicates the maximum force that the cordless drill can develop. The tightening torque is expressed in Nm (Newton meter). The Newton meter is a combined unit that relates a linear magnitude (meters) to a force (Newton).
To understand it better, we can use an example: tightening a nut with a spanner. The longer the key, the greater the effort involved thanks to the lever mechanism. The other possibility is that we apply more torque. When, when changing a wheel on the car, we use our feet to loosen the bolts, we are increasing the tightening torque, influencing the force.
If we want to use heavy gauge bolts, loosen very hard vehicle nuts, drill walls with heavy gauge bits, we need to buy a cordless drill with a high torque. For drilling thin sheet metal, soft woods or assembling furniture, a much lower torque will be more than sufficient.
